Barbara Boulka
 
 

Barbara is an award winning, international artist who teaches art classes through Community Education, Senior Centers and other Associations/Groups throughout Minnesota. In January 2010, she taught a class to the Minnesota Community Education Association during their Leadership Days in St. Cloud, MN. In 2008, she taught two watercolor classes at Perpich Center for Arts Education in Golden Valley, MN. In 2010 and 2011, Barbara taught a number of art classes to Kindergarten and 1st grade students at St. John’s School in Nowthen, MN.  She currently teaches through Anoka, Cottage Grove & Minnetonka Community Education, at Brooklyn Park Community Activities Center in Brooklyn Park and Crow River Senior Center in St. Michael (see class schedule).

Her art has been in numerous exhibits at Robbin Gallery (Robbinsdale, MN), Hopkins Gallery and Elk River Arts Alliance and has received numerous awards, most recently: a Special Merit Award for Woodland Spirits (March Madness Exhibit 2013 @ Robbin Gallery); Hopkins Center for the Arts (award winner), Primavera and Elk River’s Art Alliance. She’s been accepted into one National Show and three International Shows: Arts in Harmony, (2010, 2011, 2013 & 2014) in Elk River, MN: She Stands at the Entrance (2010), Spirit Wolf and Spirit Bear (2011), Drummer (2013) & Woodland Spirits (2014).  Barbara is currently a member of Robbin Gallery and Elk River Arts Alliance.


Barbara has developed a variety of styles in her art, from watercolor to digital, shamanic art to cosmic art, wall murals to graphic arts, as well as ceremonial items, such as rattles and masks. As a graphic artist, she creates GiClée prints for her art clients. As an instructor, she loves to encourage her students to explore their unlimited potential and bring their creative talents to life.  See “Class Schedule” for a list of classes.
